Welcome to the new look ModrichDotNet.
After a year or so maintaining my blog in Drupal (which was a pretty good experience generally), I have moved on – WordPress being the platform of choice.
The trouble I ended up having with Drupal was also what some may consider its most prized feature… It allowed me to do too much, and because I could, I did. This eventually lead to a very cluttered blog.
So, the search for something fresh began. I was on the look out for something new, clean and simple. WordPress seems (at this stage) to be it.
Its a very nice, crisp, and clean interface, and simply works ‘out-of-the-box’ – well at least it did for me on my Ubuntu Server here at home.
Now for the downside… While I did back up my old site, I don’t have a spare machine available to restore it back onto to import all of my old blog entries… probably not a huge loss.
Moving on… Next I will be looking for a nice, clean, picture gallery so I can start the big job of putting all my pictures back up here. I have seen a few candidates that really have potential, but a little more investigation is required.
